Glenville Flower and Garden Club will start its winter season with an interesting talk and slide show by Jim Wilson of Bird Watch Ireland on Tuesday September 29 at 8.30pm.

An open garden will be held at Ballyshane, Ballybrannigan, near Inch, Whitegate, Co Cork, on Sunday, June 14, from 2 pm-6pm in aid of Marymount Hospice.

There are many other campanulas species to source,upright and spreading, and many featured prominently in the recent Chelsea Flower Show. 

Coachford Flower and Garden Club presents an evening of Christmas flower arranging with Denis O’Donovan in Breathnach’s Courtyard Café on Wednesday, December 10. Visitors are very welcome.

THE summer heat brought around 40,000 visitors to one of the country’s biggest home and garden shows — but it was the freezing winter which concerned many gardening enthusiasts.
