- Carrigtwohill Flower and Garden Club will host Margaret Ahern at its Annual Christmas Gala on Tuesday, November 29 at 8 pm in the Community Hall, Carrigtwohill. Raffle for Xmas Arrangements. Seasonal refreshments and chat. Cost €10. All Welcome.
- Glenville Flower & Garden Club presents “ A Winter Wonderland “ by floral artist Eileen O’ Brien (AOIFA) in Kade’s Kounty on Tuesday, November 29 at 8.30pm. We are also showcasing local talent on the night, everyone welcome and a great night assured.
- Cork Garden Club Talk by Charlie Wilkins on ‘Christmas Cheer’ on December 8 at Nemo Rangers at 8pm.
- The Irish Garden Plant Society (Munster) will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, December 6 at Northridge House , St. Lukes Home, Mahon starting at 8pm. The talk entitled “Horizons: Finding inspirations beyond the garden gate” will be given by Verney Naylor, Garden Designer. All welcome.
- Cork Flower Club will hold its Christmas Gala “Stardust” with Elizabeth Graham NAFAS, Wales, on Tuesday, November 29 at 8pm in the Canon Packham Hall Douglas. Admission €15 with supper. Supporting cancer research. Parking available in St Columba’s church — all visitors welcome.
- Youghal Flower & Garden Club will hold a Christmas floral demonstration by Margaret Aherne on Wed Nov 30 at 8pm in the Walter Raleigh hotel . All welcome; non members €10.
- Clonakilty GIY will host a Homemade & Natural Christmas Craft event on Monday, December 5 from 7 to 9 pm in O’Donovan’s Hotel. Admission: Adults €5 & kids free. Enjoy the raffle, refreshments and home-baked treats. Happy Christmas to everyone.
- Park National School Parents’ Association are holding a Christmas Flower Arranging Demonstration With DJ Murphy on Friday, December 9 at 8pm at Inch Community Hall, Killeagh, East Cork. - RHSI events: A Bring & Buy coffee morning will be held on Thursday, December 8, from 10.30 - 12 noon at Laurelmere Cottage, Marlay Park, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16. In aid of the RHSI Charitable Funds and the RHSI Library in Laurelmere. Good saleable gifts, plants, cakes and biscuits etc are most welcome. - City Hall Crafts and Design Fair which runs until Sunday, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The biggest craft fair outside Dublin, its expected to draw a huge crowd with a spend of over €150,000 per day on 60 of the best contemporary crafts and artisan food producers from all over Ireland. Fairgoers in search of an original Christmas idea can find quality wares for gifts and the home this festival season.
- Powerscourt Garden Pavilion is hosting demonstrations on how to create Christmas arrangements that will last throughout the festive season. The talks take place on November 30 and December 3 in Powerscourt Garden Pavilion and the cost is €5 per session. Three greats in the floral art industry will instruct: Brenda Joyce, Camelia Austen and Christopher White — the award winning Chelsea and Bloom designer.
