Late check for Gunners' Senderos

Barclays Premier League leaders Arsenal will check on the fitness of defender Philippe Senderos (knee) ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Birmingham at Emirates Stadium.

Johan Djourou (groin) is definitely out, so Justin Hoyte, Bacary Sagna or veteran midfielder Gilberto could be asked to move to the centre alongside captain William Gallas as manager Arsene Wenger recalls his first-team regulars following the midweek Carling Cup tie.

Forward Robin van Persie (flu) is sidelined, while Emmanuel Eboue, Kolo Toure and Alexandre Song are all away on international duty at the African Nations Cup.
