Kowtowing to royals

I read that Eamon Gilmore will invite members of the British royal family to remember the Easter Rising at the centenary celebrations in three years time.

Can we just not be politically correct for once and celebrate on our own, instead of having to kowtow to the revisionists, unionists and west Brits?.!
