Entries are open for the 2026 FBD National Dairy Awards, with applications closing on Friday, September 25.

Now in their fourth year, the awards recognise excellence, innovation and leadership across Ireland’s dairy industry, from farmers and farm managers to vets, advisers, researchers, artisan producers, processors and other industry figures.

The 20 categories cover areas including biodiversity, technology, animal health, grassland management, sustainability and dairy product innovation. Awards will also recognise young farmers, discussion and support groups, social media ambassadors, farm managers, advisers, vets, research programmes, artisan products and marketing campaigns.

Winners will be announced at the FBD National Dairy Awards gala ceremony, which will take place at the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise on Thursday, November 5.

West Cork dairy farmer Vanessa Kiely-O'Connor and Irish Examiner Farming Editor Rachel Martin are among the judges for this year's awards.

Entries are free and can be submitted online.
