Farmers and other stakeholders are being invited to give their take on investments currently supported through TAMS 3 and share their ideas for innovative additions that could help farms move towards more sustainable production systems.

Agriculture Minister Martin Heydon has launched a call for evidence on the future of on-farm capital investment supports beyond the current CAP programme.

Mr Heydon said: “The current TAMS 3, CAP on-farm investment scheme has proven to be very successful, with over three times the number of applications received to date compared to the previous scheme and in excess of €190m already paid to farmers for investments made since June 2024.

"It is very important that as we move towards a new CAP cycle that we gather evidence and learnings from stakeholders from the current scheme while also bringing a focus to new innovations at farm level. We will also need to prioritise those investments which give the biggest return in terms of economic, environmental and social sustainability.”

The call for evidence opened on September 15 and closes at 5pm on Friday, October 30. Submissions should be emailed to TAMSInvestments@agriculture.gov.ie, with full details available on gov.ie.
