ISEQ sees prices rise

The Irish stock Exchange has had a positive morning after the index saw its price go up 64.88 points, 3.19%, to 2,099.32.

The recovery was lead by construction firm CRH who soared 79c up to €16.34, while insurance giant FBD Holdings climbed 25c to €7.65.

They were aided by Paddy Power who saw their share price increase by 24c to €11.24 and DCC who rose 18c to €10.75.

The banks were also positive with AIB and Bank of Ireland showing a two cent increase to €0.54 and €0.30 respectively, while Irish Life and Permanent had a slightly higher four cent increase to €0.74.

Elsewhere, budget airline Ryanair saw its stock go up 16c to €3.16 and pharmaceutical giant Elan climbed 12c to €5.10.

The one negative note was sounded by shipping company Irish International with a 50c slump to €15.
