IRA move is courageous

LOOKING at the larger picture, the IRA statement must have been a very courageous one for that organisation to make when you consider that unionist paramilitaries are still armed and have made no statements - even of intent.

Also, there are still more troops in the North of Ireland than are in Iraq.

Every democrat’s goal must be to have no guns involved in the politics of Ireland and I believe the IRA has taken another large step towards that end.
