NOW that the 87th anniversary of the silencing of the guns of the Great War has just passed, is it possible to hope that justice at last will be served on behalf of the 306 brave and patriotic young men cruelly shot at dawn by their own comrades in the misguided belief of instilling discipline.

If the British cause in 1914 was just, then all those who enlisted (volunteers in 1914, and in Ireland volunteers throughout the duration of the war) are to be honoured.

How can we fight for justice in the world when we fail to treat justly those who fight on our behalf?
