FF voters have only themselves to blame

I AM giving fair warning: the next time I hear someone moan about the Government I’ll grill them about who they voted for in the last three general elections, and if I hear any mention of Fianna Fáil or the PDs, that person can expect a short, sharp slap.

FF voters have only themselves to blame

There is no point people claiming to be angry at the astonishing failure of Bertie Ahern to provide the public services the Irish taxpayer has more than paid for over the past 10 years when, no matter how often he and his ministers fail to deliver, a certain percentage of the public consistently vote for them.

For some utterly bizarre reason, about 40% of the voting public seems incapable of making the link between who they vote for and the state of Irish public services.

As long as Fianna Fáil has poll figures above 35%, it will do nothing to change. It will continue to rob the country blind because it has always got away with doing so, and it will continue to attract people of a certain character into its ranks safe in the knowledge they’ll never be held to account.

It’s not rocket science, and if the opposition hasn’t convinced you to vote for them, there is an alternative option called ‘undecided’.
