Met Éireann issues thunderstorm warning for Munster and yellow rain warning with flooding possible

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for Munster, with localised flooding and hazardous driving conditions expected throughout the evening.
The warning, which came into effect shortly before 5pm on Sunday, will remain in place until 9pm on Sunday night.
The forecaster has also issued a Status Yellow rain warning for 18 counties, effective from 10pm on Sunday night until 8am on Monday morning.
The counties affected by the warning include Cork, Clare, Kerry, Tipperary, Limerick, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, all of Connacht, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath.

Thundery downpours are also possible during this period.
: The day will start off dry and sunny, with temperatures reaching between 20C and 25C. However, the weather will turn cloudier with showers in the afternoon.
: Widespread heavy rain, with a risk of thunderstorms and localised flooding, is expected overnight as temperatures drop to between 13C and 16C.
: The rain will clear by morning, leading to a largely dry day with sunny spells and temperatures between 18C and 22C. However, rain and drizzle will become more widespread again overnight, continuing into Tuesday.
: Temperatures will remain between 18C and 22C, with the day staying mostly dry and clear into the evening.
: More persistent and widespread rain is expected in the afternoon and evening, with temperatures ranging from 16 to 20 degrees.
Met Éireann forecasters indicate that the unsettled weather pattern is likely to continue into the next weekend, with further spells of rain expected.
