Gardaí appeal for witnesses after Mayo pensioner is hit by car

Gardaí in Mayo are looking for witnesses following a collision in Castlebar at around 1.30pm this afternoon.

An 81-year-old woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a car on Pontoon Road. She was taken by ambulance to Mayo General Hospital.
