Scans did not signal emergency, inquiry told

Dr Tina Good, a consultant neuroradiologist in Britain, said contrary to what was alleged against Dr John Hanson, he accurately observed the abnormalities on the MRI scan, but had no reason to consider them urgent.

Dr Hanson, 40, a radiologist at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, faces nine charges of professional misconduct arising from the death of 23-year-old Mark Haran from Julianstown, Co Meath, who died on April 4, 2008 after two admissions to hospital in the previous fortnight with headaches, dizziness and vomiting.
