Single payment is big issue for Macra candidates
The papers must be returned by 1 pm on April 5 when they will be sorted and counted at the Irish Farm Centre in Dublin.
Thomas Honner's successor as the next president of Macra, which has 8,000 members countrywide, will be announced that evening.
The two presidential candidates, Raymond Brady and Colm Markey, have been addressing Macra organised meetings for members in various parts of the country.
Five of these gatherings at which the contenders outline their vision of Macra have already been held, in Macroom, Mitchelstown, Limerick, Carlow and Navan.
Further meetings are scheduled for the Sligo Park Hotel on next Monday night (March 21) and at Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore, on Tuesday night.
Macra, which is currently celebrating its 60th anniversary, will also hold an election for the Leinster vice-president. Two candidates are in contention Donal Glennon, Meath, and James Doyle, Carlow.
Elected unopposed as vice presidents were Geraldine Beattie Greene in the northwest and Frank O'Mahony in Munster.
