Sony Xperia Z5 sits top of the pile for mobile photographers
The site carried out a detailed test that examined a number of smartphones for exposure, contrast, autofocus, texture, noise, artifacts and flash.
Android handsets still outperform what Apple has to offer. The Sony Xperia Z5 got an overall score of 87 with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge scoring 86. Apple's iPhone 6S got a rating of 82, which is still good, but indicates that Apple has more improvements to make on the camera front to match what Android has to offer.
Sony has been emphasising the Xperia Z5's camera and its features. It sports a 23 megapixel sensor, and "hybrid autofocus" technology, which means that the camera can focus in just 0.03 seconds.
