Iseq positive in morning trading
The Iseq has had a mildly posititve morning after a 10.2 point rise to stand at 2,862.40 by 11am.
The biggest beneficiary so far has been software firm Icon with a 45c rise to €13.65, while shipping group Irish International climbed 39c to €10 and bookmaker Paddy Power have gone up 29c to €17.29.
Other major risers have been pharmaceutical giant Elan, up 29c to €5.39, construction firm Kingspan, up 19c to €4.82, and Tullow Oil, up 14c to €11.56.
However, the financials have been mixed with insurance firm FBD Holdings showing a 26c increase to €7.79, while AIB slipped six cents to €1.82 and Irish Life and Permanent went down five cents to €3.35. Bank of Ireland went up five cents to €1.86.
Elsewhere, food group Kerry and packaging giant Smurfit Kappa showed declines in their share prices of 28c to €16.47 and 20c to €4.05 respectively.
