Indonesian volcano evacuees ask for 'Love Chamber'
Indonesian volcano evacuees have requested a 'Chamber Of Love'.
More than 300,000 people have been displaced by an eruption on the centre of their island, and are currently sheltering in football stadiums and public halls - but have been complaining the cramped living conditions leave them no space to get intimate with each other.
The local Republika newspaper quotes a newly-wed 18-year-old, Ari Margareta, saying her "biological needs are not being fulfilled."
Another news source said evacuees have asked authorities to set aside a private area on the fourth floor of one of the stadiums occupied by the displaced families - who have been sheltering from volcanic ash for two weeks - because many people are risking their lives to return home for some privacy.
A 'Chamber Of Love' was previously provided for those fleeing an earthquake in the nation's Bantul in 2006.
A total of 151 people have died since Mount Merapi began erupting again on October 26.
