The Batman To Start Filming In Spring 2017

Speaking to Variety Ben Affleck said that he and his co-writer are close to finishing a script for The Batman and expects to start filming in the coming months.

A lot of peoiple were very let down by Batman Vs Superman but believed that Affleck was the best thing about the film, and was one of the best portrayals of Batman there ever has been on the screen.

He will co-write and direct the film and his immense talents behind the camera will be reverential of the films which came before. Speaking at the premiere of his new film Live By Night Affleck said:

““I respect all of those [Batman] movies,” he said. “Christopher Nolan did an incredible job, Christian Bale did an incredible job, Tim Burton did an incredible job. At a certain point you have to look forward and try to believe in your own vision for it and not be looking over your shoulder the whole time. I go into that movie with a tremendous amount of respect for the people who came before me.”

Live By Night is out in cinemas in Ireland on the 13th of January 2017
