For the fourth time this year, Cork and Limerick go head-to-head.

The score is currently 2-1 in Limerick’s favour as they have emerged triumphant from the two league clashes, including the league final.

Both of those wins came at the Gaelic Grounds though and when it was Leeside’s turn to host their Munster match, it was the Rebels who came out on top.

There is still the enormous possibility that these two arch-rivals will meet for a fifth time in the All-Ireland hurling final but for now the two squads are focused on securing Munster glory.

Cork will be looking to retain the provincial crown they took from Limerick last year in that memorable final that was decided by penalties.

That ended the Treaty county’s seven-in-a-row bid and should they get revenge this weekend, it will be a seventh title in eight years.

It promises to be another exciting day of action in the Munster senior hurling championship.
