Dublin club Clontarf have landed a first ever Jimmy Bruen Shield thanks to their shock four points to one win over host club Monkstown of Cork on the final day of the 2008 Bulmers Cups and Shields National Finals.

Clontarf pair Mark Brennan and his 16 year old playing partner Niall Lyons sealed the win when their opponents conceded on the 18th green.

Earlier Warrenpoint of Co Down beat Limerick's Castletroy to land the Senior Cup.
