Woods expecting second child

Golfing ace Tiger Woods is to become a father for the second time.

The 32-year-old's model wife Elin Nordegren is due to give birth in "late winter".

Woods announced the news in a written message on his official website.

The world number one said: "I have some wonderful news to report. (Daughter) Sam is going to be a big sister... Elin is feeling great and we are both thrilled."

He described his recent injury that has deprived him of a chance to play in the upcoming Ryder Cup as "a blessing and a disappointment", because it has given him time to watch daughter Sam grow.

Little Sam Alexis Woods was born in 2007. Woods and Nordegren wed in 2004.
