Templemore, Carton House, Crossgar, and Athlone claimed regional honours in this year’s Revive Active Women’s Four-Ball, with the four finals taking place across September and October.

Last weekend, the final regional title was decided at Cahir Park, where Templemore secured the Munster pennant with a 3-2 victory over Dooks.

Michelle Hassett and Claire Fitzpatrick set the Tipperary team on their way with a 5&4 victory in match two, before Josie Bourke and Shauna Geary moved the side within a point of the title with a 4&3 win in match three.

Dooks fought back, however, as Eileen Oige O’Sullivan and Catherine Doyle, followed by Anna Galvin and Lisa McGillycuddy, levelled the tie at 2-2. The title came down to match four, where Lorraine Ryan and Niamh Connolly held on to secure a dramatic victory for Templemore.

The Leinster and Ulster finals were first down for decision on September 20, with Kilkenny hosting Carton House and New Forest, while Crossgar and Virginia faced off at Castle Hume.

Having won the Leinster title at Balbriggan in 2025, Carton House secured back-to-back crowns with a 3-1 victory over New Forest. The Kildare side were pushed all the way in their title defence, with two matches decided on the 17th hole and another on the 18th.

Crossgar were impressive in claiming the Ulster pennant, recording a 3.5-0.5 victory over Virginia.

Samantha Coulter and Lorna Stevenson secured a 2&1 win in the opening match before Rebecca Morrison and Siobhan Tweedle (6&4) and Joyce Dodd and Fiona Douglas (3&2) completed the victory for the Down side.

While the other regional finals were decided in a single day at neutral venues, the Connacht final once again took place over two legs, with Athlone and Castlebar meeting at their respective home courses.

The tie was level at 2-2 after the opening leg, with Ella Grennan and Angela Quirke (2 holes) and Siobhan McGrath and Martha Kelly (2 holes) winning for Athlone. Edel Burke and Gina Kelly (2&1) and Sheila Baynes and Bernie Burke (1 hole) claimed victories for Castlebar.

The second leg took place on October 11, with Athlone edging the contest thanks to victories for Grennan and Quirke (8&6) and Margaret Byrne and Carol McGettirick (6&5). Half points for McGrath and Kelly, and Yvonne Walsh and Rhona Fitzgerald, secured the overall win as Athlone claimed the club’s first women’s regional pennant in 23 years.
