Kerry captain Síofra O'Shea picks up Player of the Month award ahead of All-Ireland with Galway

Kerry have received a boost ahead of next Sunday’s TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship final clash against Galway as their brilliant captain, Síofra O’Shea, has been honoured with The Croke Park Hotel/LGFA Player of the Month award for July 2026.

From the Southern Gaels club, 24-year-old Síofra has been in magnificent form for the Kingdom en route to next Sunday’s Croke Park decider.

In the 2026 TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship to date, Síofra has contributed 3-25 to Kerry’s cause, and she’s the leading scorer in the senior grade.

In the month of July, Síofra produced two outstanding displays to help Kerry past the challenges of Meath and Dublin in the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship quarter-final and semi-final.

She scored 1-6 as Kerry defeated Meath in Tralee, before notching 1-8 in a Player of the Match display against Dublin at FBD Semple Stadium in Thurles.

All of Síofra’s focus is now shifting towards next Sunday’s TG4 All-Ireland Senior final clash with Galway, as Kerry aim for a second title in three years, and a 13th in all.

Síofra, a previous winner of this award for the month of February 2023, was presented with her award today by Natalia D'Alcantara, Director of Food & Beverage, The Croke Park Hotel.
