Offaly include Hanniffy and Mulrooney
Rory Hanniffy and James Mulrooney will line out for Offaly against Cork in tomorrow's All-Ireland SHC first phase qualifier at Páirc Uí Chaoimh (throw-in 2.30pm).
The fit-again Hanniffy returns at centre-back after being sidelined for the Leinster quarter-final defeat to Dublin. Michael Verney, who is nursing a hand injury, loses out.
Eanna Murphy has been listed at right corner back, but the Seir Kieran clubman picked up a knock when playing for the Offaly Under-21s against Dublin last night and is not expected to start.
Brian Carroll and Joe Bergin have shaken off slight injuries to retain their places in attack, with Mulrooney set to make his first Championship start at top of the left. He comes in for Derek Molloy, who has left for America.
Mulrooney, another member of the Seir Kieran club, was regularly used as a substitute during this year's Allianz League and was sprung from the bench during the Dublin game. He scored a goal in Offaly's Walsh Shield final win over Carlow last week.
Some positional switches by manager Joe Dooley see Daniel Currams and Colin Egan paired together in midfield, with Conor Mahon linking up with Carroll and Bergin in the half-forwards.
Cathal Parlon (hand), James Rigney (broken arm), Brian Mulrooney (hamstring) and David Franks (calf) remain on the Faithfuls' injury list, while Tullamore's Shane Kelly has also jetted Stateside.
But in some positive news, Brendan Murphy, who has returned to the panel, and Joe Brady impressed as substitutes against Carlow and both players could have roles tomorrow.
