Writing about Aaron Rodgers on St Patrick's Day seems utterly apt. For you can imagine Rodgers, the current New York Jets quarterback and guaranteed NFL Hall of Famer, appearing on the Pat McAfee podcast to talk about recovery from his achilles injury, only to veer wildly off course and discuss the veracity of the claims that this slave-turned-Christian missionary drove all the snakes out of Ireland. 

“I mean, dude, are you serious? Have you seen the roads down there round Westport? I say that guy ain’t driving sh*t.”
