Island shows mainland how to run an event

RECENTLY my wife and I had the pleasure of making our annual pilgrimage to Valentia Island, Co Kerry.

The weather was beautiful and, in such ideal conditions, there is no place on earth more heavenly.

However, what really impressed us was the cleanliness of the island, unlike what we witness in the larger urban sprawls.
