Apply tax incentives to road and rail
Tremendous employment and prosperity has been created through the tax designated areas and schemes, such as Section 23 and 50 tax incentives. A massive amount of new accommodation, housing and development have been part of the engine of economic development and regeneration.
Could I suggest that a similar tax scheme could be used to provide new tolled motorways and railways between the major cities and towns? Ireland needs to improve and re-open railways.
I am delighted and proud to see what has been achieved in the last eight years through these tax incentives.
Our country also needs a fund for future pensions.
With tax designation for large investments and switching for PAYE workers of the government tax incentive saving plan to such a new agency, everyone would gain.
