Boy racers should not be victimised by NCT

THE proposed new rules regarding so-called boy racer cars being failed by NCT centres are grossly unfair.

The (mainly) young men who have these modified vehicles are very proud of them and maintain them to the highest standards. These cars keep them interested and occupied and away from other expensive pastimes such as drink and drugs. These are not the young people who are dying on our roads.

Check the statistics and you will find the crashes are all in standard, unmodified cars; the other factors are well known to the coroners.
