Bush’s opponents reviled and silenced

YOUR columnist Fergus Finlay was squarely on the mark (Irish Examiner, December 13).

For those of us here in America who must endure the fascist remake of our once noble beacon of liberty, the policies and practice of the Bush administration are an almost unbearable cross.

We now have illegal detentions instead of the right of due process.
