It’s as simple as ABC – but is ‘C’ guilty?

‘A’ IS driving a car bomb into ‘B’s’ home town because he suspects ‘B’ is plotting to do something similar to him. He stops at ‘C’s’ filling station, tells him his intention and invites him along to facilitate negotiations and checkpoints.

It’s as simple as ABC – but is ‘C’ guilty?

‘C’ shrugs, fills the tank, checks the oil, tyre pressure and brake fluid, wipes the windscreen and gives ‘A’ a coffee and sandwich. He tells ‘A’ he is a valued customer and thanks him for his business down the years, but declines to accompany his cousin as the car is not displaying a tax disc.

‘A’ justifies his actions by claiming, rightly, that ‘B’ is a criminal thug and by saying he will phone a warning before detonation. He has no evidence of ‘B’s’ plot. ‘C’ wishes him luck.

Has ‘C’ participated?
