Carol interrupts the president

RTÉ Washington correspondent Carol Coleman’s interview with US President George W Bush (Prime Time, June 24) was a huge achievement for her and for the national station.

Of that there is no doubt.

Her interventions may well put her in excellent form with RTÉ and her colleagues but what damage might it have done to Irish-American relationships, especially with the White House?
