Less protection for kids of same gender parents

The Children and Family Relationships Bill has already been passed by the Oireachtas and has dealt with issues of surrogacy and adoption. 

On May 22, people will simply be asked whether same gender relationships should receive equal recognition before the law.

It’s regrettable that Margaret Hickey (Letters, April 1) is confusing matters. To suggest voting no will stop any couple from adopting or starting a family through IVF is untrue.
