Religion ‘blazes trail of misery and perdition’

Eamon Reilly laments the fact of religion having evolved to irrelevance in Europe and general and Ireland in particular.

Thank Gods, I say, puns intended.

And further, he equates it as a panacea/elixir of all of society’s ills.

Even a cursory glance at the most subjective history reveals that religion in all of its absolute political dogmatic certitude paved a winding road of bloody misery and twisted perdition in most metrics of geography and demography, Buddism excepted generally. Humanity was excepted in particular from all the others.

So Eamon, Remedial Hedge School II, Lesson 101. To wit: Religion requires study, as so many have faith in one, but humanity requires faith in one and all. Amen, QED !
