DON’T you think that failing to hold the presidential election during the schools’ mid-term break shows the Government to be as out of touch as its predecessor?

Working parents who are already as stretched as they can possibly go have to find money in their budget to pay for childcare during the mid-term break. Now we have to go back to the empty jar and figure out how to pay for an extra day’s childcare on October 27.

The taxpayer is paying teachers to be on holiday the last week in October and now has to pay them for an extra day off on October 27. How is this justifiable?
