Saying one thing and doing another
While in opposition Mr Kenny spewed out criticism at a phenomenal rate. Having harangued the practice of the previous administration, it is not enough to imply one thing in opposition and the opposite in government.
Finally, to pretend that such contradictory behaviour is possible would beggar the description of the party he is the leader of — Fine Gael, long renowned for bending to every prevailing wind, for chasing with the hare, hunting with the hound and feeling equally at home with both.
