Woman in her 30s dies after alleged assault in Dublin

A woman has died days after an alleged assault in Dublin.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries after an incident beside a house near Main Street, Belmayne, on Monday afternoon.

Gardaí said she died on Wednesday.

A liaison officer is providing support to the woman’s family.

Man released without charge 

A man aged in his 20s was arrested on Tuesday but has since been released without charge, pending a file being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
