The Deirdre O'Shaughnessy Podcast: Katriona O’Sullivan on trauma, body and healing

Katriona O’Sullivan discusses trauma and healing in candid Cork interview on new memoir Hungry

Katriona O’Sullivan’s memoir Poor saw her become a household name. Her new book, Hungry: A Memoir of My Body, tells her story through a different lens — exploring themes of sexual abuse, disordered eating, diet culture, and the search for sexual pleasure.

In this interview, recorded at St Luke’s before a live audience as part of the Cork World Book Festival, Katriona speaks candidly about the abuse she suffered as a child, how she grew apart from her body through repeated abuse and sexualisation, and how she learned to find pleasure in it as an adult.

She also discusses how she would like to become a brand ambassador for Triton — listen to the Deirdre O'Shaughnessy Podcast find out why.
