Gardaí arrest man after cannabis seizure in Westmeath

A 28-year-old man has been arrested, following a drugs seizure in Co. Westmeath.

Up to 450 cannabis plants, with an estimated street value of €180,000, were discovered by Gardaí when they carried out searches at two houses in Mullingar yesterday.

Gardaí said sophisticated cultivation processes were in operation at the houses, which were located at Ardleigh Park and Clonmore Heights.

The man is being questioned at Mullingar Garda station.
