Occupy Dame Street protest marks one month in camp
The latest in a series of protest organised by the Occupy Dame Street movement will take place in Dublin today.
Members will gather at 2pm at Parnell Square and march to their camp site on Dame Street.
The Occupy Dame Street movement has been camped out in front of the Central Bank for one month this weekend.
The group's members say they are outraged at the loss of our rights at the hands of big corporations, financial institutions and the political class.
Campaigners have vowed to continue their action until this December's Budget.
One of the participants of Occupy Dame Street, Eamon, said the group believed "we should have more control over our lives than voting once every four or five years for governments who essentially are using the same policies".
He said another of the group's demands was that the public and State should have nothing to do with the "odious debts" run up between private individuals and private banks and corporations.
