A convicted, jailed brothel-keeper has had a hearing about possible confiscation by the State of his assets adjourned to allow required documentation be prepared by prosecution and defence legal teams.

Martin 'The Beast' Morgan (aged 44) is serving a three-year sentence following his unanimous conviction by a Dublin Circuit Criminal Court jury last February of organising prostitution and running a brothel at a Bachelor’s Walk apartment in the city centre on dates from August 22 to October 10, 2005.

Morgan formerly of Blacksheep Road, Blanchardstown and with addresses also at Herbert Lane, Ballsbridge and Blackstock Road, London was found guilty on three charges following an 18-day trial.

Judge Frank O’Donnell, who also fined him €24,000, described Morgan’s activity as: "A magnificent operation, highly sophisticated and highly rewarding and not a petty little business working on a shoe string."

Judge O’Donnell adjourned an application for a hearing in relation to an order for the confiscation of Morgan’s assets for a week at the request of both counsel to allow them more time to prepare documentation.
