IRELAND

SPORT

France have finally come alive at Euro 2016 after producing a mercurial five-goal performance,  ruthless and majestic in equal measure, to end Iceland’s fairytale and set up a semi-final against world champions Germany that has the potential to be the contest of the tournament so far.

Goals are great but they flattered a Munster final whose foot seemed stuck on the clutch. It wasn’t until after 15 minutes of the second half that the result was confirmed and continued Kerry’s record  of having reached every All-Ireland quarter-final.
