Cameron invited to Rising commemorations

Visiting Downing St yesterday, Mr Kenny also said that he thought the four issues Britain wants negotiated over its EU membership could be discussed successfully.
The comments came after they held talks on the possibility of Britain exiting the EU, ahead of negotiations among member states on the matter in Brussels next month.
After the talks, Mr Kenny said he had asked Mr Cameron to visit Ireland during the commemorations.
“I have invited the prime minister to come over himself at some time during the year, if that is appropriate, and obviously he will consider that in due course,” said Mr Kenny.
He said they had discussed the “comprehensive, inclusive, sensitive” centenary celebrations.
Mr Cameron yesterday said the 1916 anniversary was one of the “important events in our shared history”. He said: “We’ll mark them, as we should, in a spirit of mutual respect, inclusiveness, and friendship.”
Mr Kenny said it is critical that Britain remains in the EU, that a potential exit would cause problems for the peace process, and that negotiations can be concluded successfully.
