Hozier scoops prestigious British music award

Just a few days after winning two awards at the US Billboard Music Awards, Irish singer/songwriter Hozier was yesterday honoured on this side of the Atlantic with one of British music’s top accolades.

The 24-year-old’s smash hit Take Me to Church scooped the award for best song musically and lyrically at the Ivor Novello Awards which took place at London’s Grosvenor House.

The awards honour and reward excellence in British and Irish songwriting and composing.
