STRADBALLY are through to meet Nemo Rangers in the semi-final of the AIB Munster club football championship following a deserved victory over Doonbeg in Fraher Field yesterday.

THE inspiring leadership of their All Star Michael ‘Brick’ Walsh, and a priceless goal strike by super sub David Grey in the closing minutes, saw Stradbally safely – if nervously – across the finish line in a tense and hard fought Waterford SHC relegation play-off at Walsh Park on Saturday.

STRADBALLY remain in the hunt to retain their Waterford SFC title but only after a dramatic finish to Saturday’s semi-final at Dungarvan’s Fraher Field.

NOT exactly the outcome that would have been expected, certainly not from a Wexford side which contested the All-Ireland semi-final last season and whose continued participation in the GAA football championship may be in even greater doubt as a result of having to face resurgent Roscommon in Hyde Park, possibly in midweek.
