Manager bans staff from using slang, and telling each other ’they having Ebola’

A fast food manager has reportedly banned his staff from using teen slang - not just when they’re talking to customers, but among themselves too, once they walk through the doors of his outlet.

Manager bans staff from using slang, and telling each other ’they having Ebola’

In a post titled ā€œI work at Chick-fil-a and Eric, our manager, is tired of our shitā€, one Redditor shared a list of words now banned at the fast food outlet.

Accusing someone of having Ebola had also apparently become a thing, and is now banned.

Manager Eric says: ā€œYou will speak properly when you walk through these doors..You are a professional, so speak professionally.ā€

We bring you the full list:

Lost? There’s some context in the video below:

Redditor drunkpitbull also helpfully translated the terms, for which we are grateful, if still confused.

Bae: Baby, crush, before anyone else, etc.

Bruh: Bro, brah, brother, friend, etc.

On Fleek: Kim Kardashian bleeched her eyebrows for a photoshoot with the hashtag #EyebrowsOnFleek. On the ball, shit straight, on point, etc.

0 - 100: Blame Drake. How quick you can go from calm to violent.

3Hunnid: 3 hundred, either dollars or your persistence. I think it's a reference to this song by Chief Keef, but not positive.

Guh: Annoyed, irritated. Misspelling of Ugh according to Urban Dictionary.

Chill: Calm down, cool off, chill out.

Cuz: Cousin, friend, brother, etc.

Ebola: Deadly virus originating from Africa. Where you been bruh?

Fool: Usually referring to another person. Crazy, acting out, acting a fool.

About a week ago: Lyrics from a song by Bobby Shmurda.

Or nah: From a song by Ty Dolla $ign, basically used as a yes or no (nah) question.

Felicia: I think this is meant as any girl you don't know or care the name of. Bye Felicia.

Boy/Girl Bye: When someone says something stupid and you just want them to leave out of the sheer stupidity of what they just said.

Salty: Mad or upset.

Ratchet: Ghetto or poor. Worthwhile video to watch though.

Childish: As far as I know, just acting or being childish.

Turn up: Acting out, getting hyped up, acting a fool.

Barely: As far as I know, exactly what it means. Apparently, this is also from the same YouTube video as "I'm legally blind" at the 48 second mark. I'm legally blind: Reference to a viral video where some kid gets caught up with the police.

P.O.P Hold it dine: Phrase from the same viral video as "I'm legally blind."

Fam: Family, your close friends, etc.

TLDR: Pop culture took over.
