Man, 20s, seriously injured in crash between bus and car in Kerry

A collision between a bus and a car in Co Kerry in the early hours of this morning has left a man in his 20s in serious condition in hospital.

A collision between a bus and a car in Co Kerry in the early hours of this morning has left a man in his 20s in serious condition in hospital.

The accident happened on the N70 at Aghatubrid, Caherciveen at approximately 5am.

The man his 20s was the driver of the car. He has been transferred to Cork University Hospital. The driver of the bus, a man aged in his 50s was uninjured.

The road is currently closed and will be examined by the Garda Forensic Collision Investigators later this morning. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward including road users who were travelling on the N70 at Aghatubrid, Caherciveen between 4:.30am and 5am and who may have dashcam footage of the incident or surrounding area.
