VIDEO: Domino's had a special delivery for these homesick Irish girls

Five Irish girls who were backpacking through South America had all their dreams come true in Dublin Airport’s arrivals hall yesterday morning when they received an unexpected welcome home treat.

Sarah, Brontë, Katie, Aoife and Niamh left for South America at the beginning of the summer and after weeks of deprivation, Sarah decided to contact Domino’s Ireland through its Facebook page a week ago to explain how much she was missing them.

Describing herself as a “very loyal customer” Sarah messaged Domino’s asking them to meet her and her four friends on their arrival in Terminal 2 this morning. “We are coming home next week and one may think as a good Irish girl the first thing I want when I get home is a cup of tea, or a fry or maybe even a roast dinner,” she wrote.

“But no, no it is not. It is, in fact a shocking amount of Domino’s pizza. There is nothing I would rather more than to be greeted at Dublin airport arrivals with your pizza.”

When the Domino’s team saw her plea they decided they couldn’t let them down and decided to surprise the five explorers with their very specific order.

As they came through the arrival gates they were greeted with a medium pizza with extra, extra, extra tomato sauce for Sarah. Brontë had four garlic breads with extra, extra tomato sauce. Katie was given chicken strippers with two garlic breads with extra sauce, Aoife had a small pizza with peppers, tomatoes, sweet corn and pepperoni while Niamh was presented with a small BBQ chicken pizza.

21-year-old Sarah, originally from Athlone was the driving force behind the Domino’s welcome home party. The ladies are all 4th year medical students at UCD.

Brontë celebrates her 21st birthday today. Her boyfriend, Paul Deignan, understanding her love of Domino’s, ordered garlic bread from the Dundrum store this morning at 4am and also brought it to the airport for her.

Steve Robson and Melvin Valderamma from Domino’s Swords branch opened the store especially early for the fearless fivesome and hand prepared and delivered their specific order exactly as the students had wished for.
