Wrapper designed to keep several balers going
Consistent and even overlap are claimed, when wrapping bales from 1m to 1.45m, with low running costs.
The operator drives into the bale, and as the lift arm moves the bale towards the wrapping ring, the wrapping roller closest to the tractor pivots out of the way, which reduces the height the bale has to travel to get to the wrapper.
This allows the bale to move from the ground to the wrapping platform in a smooth and quick manner, reducing stress on the machine, saving time, and increasing output.
The patented tip roller adjusts its height in line with bale size to ensure that the wrapping ring always applies the plastic to the centre of the bale, regardless of the bale diameter.
This ensures the correct overlap is always achieved.
The high-speed vertical wrapping ring can apply four layers of film to a 1.25 metre bale in about 20 seconds, or six layers of film in 30 seconds.
This high-speed wrapping performance is delivered by two 750mm dispensers.
This wrapping system ensures even overlap of film, even if the machine is working on difficult or bumpy terrain.
Design advantages such as greater wrapping accuracy and overlap are claimed, compared to twin dispenser machines where the dispensers tend to bounce, which can often cause plastic breakages.
With the McHale Orbital wrapper, the distance between the dispensers and the bale never changes.
Integral to the wrapping process is the cut and hold system which quickly and neatly gathers the film together at one point where it is cut and held, designed for more consistent, superior performance even in wet and windy conditions.
Included are in-built film break sensors, the machine alerts the operator in the cab and automatically switches to single dispenser mode.
Film loading can be carried out from the left hand side of the machine.
When the first roll is loaded, and the access door is closed, a button can be pressed which will index the second dispenser to the loading position.
The Expert Plus control console makes wrapping operation fully automatic from loading the bale, through wrapping and until; the rear wrapping roller moves downwards to gently place the wrapped bale on to the ground.
