I fully support John Fitzgerald’s letter (May 4) and his abhorrence of the barbaric activities of cock fighting and badger baiting.
In the Irish Examiner (Jun 2) you included a guide to the Euro 2012 competition in Poland and Ukraine.
Further to the correspondence from Emmet Murphy (May 28) and myself (Jun 1), I now believe that I was incorrect in agreeing with his proposal that the number of TDs should be reduced to 38.

It seems clear that signing up to the fiscal treaty following the referendum and the European Stability Mechanism funds when we already have too much debt and a broken economy is just rolling this snowball down the hill, collecting more unsustainable debt as we go.
The poor turnout is just as good, and convenient, a reason for another referendum as a no vote would have been.
The closure of three creches by City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee, in Whitehall, Ballyfermot and Cabra, and in other VECs around the country, is caused by a complicated set of circumstances.
In the run up to the fiscal treaty referendum I received a leaflet from Fine Gael urging a yes vote.
