So the people of Ireland made their choice and when that choice was between voting no, and continuing to allow the Irish political class to make decisions, or voting yes and handing all decision making powers over to Germany, we choose Germany.

As a result the Irish Government now has even less power than a mid-size German council, even though the Government still claims it is sovereign, which is probably fitting given the level of talent of members of the Government who gave up their teaching jobs to become Irish politicians.
